Eclectic Family Home Renovation
From the earliest planning stages, CEO Zahavi Atzmon and his partner shared a clear vision:
to create a home with a soul. This guiding principle shaped the design of their dream house,
achieving a precise balance between modernity and classicism. The project involved a
comprehensive renovation of a forty-year-old home.
Architectural elements
The original staircase was preserved in its location and enhanced with natural iron cladding
and a brick wall, forming a strong eclectic statement. Adjacent to the staircase, a custom
black iron library combined with solid wood serves both as a functional divider and as a
sculptural design element within the living area.
Material palette and living spaces
Cognac-colored parquet flooring extends throughout the house, providing a warm foundation
for the rustic cream-toned kitchen and contrasting subtly with the more contemporary character
of the living room. The guest facilities were designed with evening entertaining in mind,
featuring a glamorous mix of materials such as mosaic surfaces and large porcelain granite
tiles.
Private areas
In the master bathroom, a fresh morning atmosphere was created through the combination of
light mosaic finishes and Carrara-inspired porcelain granite. The attic level was transformed
into a luxurious master bedroom, highlighted by a skylight that enhances both natural light
and a romantic sense of intimacy.
Low-ceilinged attic areas were thoughtfully converted into storage solutions, effectively
expanding the usable living space and maximizing comfort and functionality throughout the
home.
